i think it would be great and as long as hippa is followed it is no different then getting any other blood test results in my humble opinion.

    IEP meeting tomorrow...any advice appreciated.

i was in your boat this time last yr. yes you can ask(in writing) for a behavior assesment and a behavior plan. that should be part of the iep and make sure it is in there before you sign the iep. do not sign that iep until you take it home and read it over no matter what they say to you...

i was talking to my easy child's former dance aid who is a student teacher is k-garten class. she was told that it is district policy not to test this age group even if the teachers suspect emotional impairment. :censored:? sorry but that is exactly why my difficult child didn't get anything more than the school...

    Low cost eyeglasses ~ $8 a pair

that is great that you got a deal especially with- a high rx and titanium. being in the business i just would caution that you get polycarbonate lenses for kids as they are the safest. also you need the pupil distance(pd) measurement for proper optical center and i don't see how you can get a...

Newsweek article on kids who don't fit in...

marg's repsonse made me think of something. in the us the idea 2004 talks about each child being treated as an individual and accomdations being made to the childs individuality but the biggest problem i find in my sd is that they lump Special Education into one mold(ie. behaviour problem, reading...

my 6 yr son will be starting in a similar program in the fall. it was a hard decision for us also as he is a twin, be on a schedule 1 hr off from his sister's and have an hour long bus ride. i got to visit the class for the older kids and had the head of the program spend 2 hrs giving me the...

    can bipolar disorder be learned?

i guess i am kinda get tired of people saying the diagnosis really isn't BiPolar (BP) because it seems to be the diagnosis of the day. maybe it is the diagnosis of the day because it went so long with-Early Onset Bi-Polar (EOBP) not even being considered. there are still those out there that do not believe BiPolar (BP) exists until the teen yrs. maybe as...
