Marine grad - announcement, ideas?

difficult child 1 graduated from boot in November and I need to put something in the paper. Anyone have a "format" I can copy from?

Did you get his boot pics? Ok...that was a really STUPID question...of course you did! We moms wouldnt be caught dead without those handsome pics of our boys.

I would do something like this:

Boot picture.
Private difficult child, graduate of XYZ High School, has graduated MCRD San Diego.
He plans on serving our country as XXX (MOS). As his parents, please join us in welcoming him to the United States Marine Corps! Semper Fi difficult child.

Well, since his MOS has changed 3 times in the last 2 weeks, I'll leave that out, and just put where he's at now, but thanks for the rest. I hate that kinda stuff.

They dont like it for you to announce where he is...plus...he wont be there that long anyway.
