Those you have followed all posts regrading my 16 year old son, substance abuse & behavioral problems , we’ll he’s been locked up since January & so far he has been doing good in Juvenile Detention as best as he good be under the circumstances. He has been on level 4 which is the highest level in there for good behavior, doing good in school, showing self control,& taking his medications. So on Mother’s Day they will let him have a special visit for his good behavior, he wants me to bring his little brothers 3 yrs old & 7 yrs old , we will be a classroom & only us,with case manager overseeing visit from a distance . Thoughts on bringing my kids there? He’s not in cuffs or jumpsuit , I’m not sure if this is a good idea,I know he misses them so much! But not sure if my 7 year will catch on to where were at. Should I expose my kids to this?

My 3 yr old dosent understand or know any better but my 7 yr old thinks he’s away at school . Caseworker set up visit to be in a class room for us. My daughter is away at college so he just thinks my son is away in high school. But we still need to go through metal detectors coming in building:/

I am not sure what I'd do. I think it would be nice for your son though. What does hubby say?

    Tough position to be in.

Do the younger kids want to see their brother? Would it be a positive thing for them?

I would go ahead and give the seven year old the basic truth of what is going on and where the older brother is. There is no use hiding it; he will find out sooner or later.

Well go with your heart. If you don't take them, I believe you will beat yourself up over it....

Here we ALL do things to make ourselves feel better, less guilty etc. No judgement. Everyone is different. Every situation is different.
