Your experience with insurance and rehab

  1. Is there any insurance that is most widely accepted as IN NETWORk at rehabs? The one we currently have is treated as "out of network" and we have a widely known health insurance.

I would say BCBS becaues I have it. It's not the insurance that's out of network, it's the place I believe. Like a doctor can be "out of network" so more expensive.

I have BCBS as well but they are all owned independently and have different rules. Mine doesn't cover any rehab that is 'stand alone' and must be affiliated with a hospital. And all of those have gone to IOP. There's a lot of ways for them to get around the required substance abuse treatment law, unfortunately.
