This is a great thread! It's so encouraging to know about the things that are going well. I guess I'd better do the nekkid chicken liver dance twice after I post this, but here goes ... difficult child has gone two weeks without acting out, without any random acts of violence, without losing his temper. Oddly, he says he feels more irritable on his new medications but we see none of that, so either he's dealing with it incredibly well or he wants off the new medications. That's between him and his psychiatrist. He's finally putting in job applications again and working around outside, helping get the garden ready for winter. And he's not melting down regarding next Tuesday's omnibus hearing, which is huge in itself. Earlier this summer with the preliminary court appearances, he would hyperventilate, have panic attacks, and act out at home all around those dates. Home has been feeling ... dare I say ... like it's approaching normal for two weeks. I could get used to this! (Okay, nekkid chicken liver dance coming up!) :p
