[QUOTE="KC but no sunshine band, post: 105969, member: 4187"] I found this recipe in a magazine at the doctor's office.... sounds so yummy! Black Forest Brownies 1 1/3 cups flour 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp baking powder 1 cup butter 1 cup cocoa 4 eggs 2 cups sugar 1 1/2 tsp vanilla 1 tsp almond extract 1/2 cup chopped nuts 1 cup maraschino cherries Icing: 1/4 cup butter (softened) 1 tsp vanilla 6 tsp cocoa 2 cups confectioner's sugar 1/4 cup milk 1/4 cup chopped nuts Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside. In saucepan, melt butter. Remove from heat and stir in cocoa until smooth. Blend in eggs, sugar, & extracts. Stir in flour mixture, cherries, and nuts. Pour into greased pan. Bake @ 350F for 30-35 minutes. (Use toothpick to test) Icing: In bowl mix butter, vanilla, confectioner's sugar, cocoa, and milk until smooth. Spread over hot brownies. Sprinkle with nuts.
