I handed in my notice tonight. This is after a day of seeing a wedding venue and a hotel and almost not getting back in time for work. Decided the wedding comes first and that the small wage I make isn't worth giving up Thurs., Friday and Saturday night with my husband. So after two weeks, one of which I will be in Chicago, I will be waiting for hub to retire in March or April by volunteering, hitting the gym and being there for my daughter's excitement and texts/phone calls. Today I spent much time with Hunter's mom and we get along great. We are both casual down to earth, laid back and goofy and I will be honored to call her....whatever the hello you call your daughters mother in law....lol. the hotel is perfect for these two. We couldn't get into the ceremony venue to see the inside but we will go another day. I just have such a warm feeling about this entire situation. Anyhow, it's time for me to focus on the rest of my life. I have three main passions; 1. Work with rescue dogs and adopt one that nobody else wants. This is a must. 2. Work again with the homeless, maybe getting more involved in volunteering, and making a difference to some people. 3. Become a registered peer specialist for young people who struggle with mental illness especially depression and anxiety. I want them to know they can live a wonderful life and do well. Hugs to all
