New Leaf and Copa, this is how I feel about both of you. Your strength and wisdom have carried over to me so many times and enabled me to continue and not fall into despair or believing the lie that if I just did one more thing it would change things.
Copa, I'm so sorry you had to see your son in that condition and New Leaf your daughter in the hospital. It is traumatizing to a parent's heart to see their beloved child that way. I've only seen a photo of Josh taken by a police officer and it tore my heart in two.
Right now, I pray for God's comfort and peace to envelop both your hearts and protect your minds. May His wisdom be there for you moment by moment as you navigate this. I wish we were all neighbors and could just sit with one another and offer our physical presence, but I'm so glad that we can at least offer our online presence and the knowledge that you are not alone in this.
