What do you do regarding your adult homeless child on holidays and their birthday? Mine is asking for me to come see him at Thanksgiving.

I would bet everyone is different. I see nothing wrong with meeting at a public restaurant for a meal, maybe on the eves. I wouldn't give up the family gathering for the difficult child. It's up to you.
