Arise

[New Leaf]

Darkness yields to light.
Released from the twisted, tangled net;
once ensnared
held down by the depths of despair,
Struggling from it's grasp-
search for the sky.
Exhausted, yet determined,
bereft of oxygen
burst through the anguish,
inhale deeply.
Make way
through waves of turmoil
And rest upon
the sun warmed shore.
Sand sifts
through the hourglass of time,
embrace the gift of healing, of being.

It is a new day.
