Going Green
Even though he's in jail and won't be able to participate in graduation, I'm trying to find all of the positives I can.
Things like....peace and quiet for a month and a half, not having to lock my bedroom door constantly, I can leave food out without worrying about it being eaten in a matter of hours, no arguments over difficult child wanting to spend $500 on some stupid bicycle, etc.
Anyhoo....yesterday we got a phone call. difficult child was approved for an apartment in a subsidized addition!!!! It's the same addition that mother in law lived in and although there isn't an apartment available yet, he was approved! AND with him being, um, elsewhere, (snort) I don't have to listen to him whine about "why don't I have a apartment yet" or "what's taking so long" or "can I go buy my couch now and put it in my room?" Because the logical answers would be "because you have to wait for one to come open", "for a apartment to come open, someone has to either move out (unlikely), move to a nursing home or die" (these are occupied by mostly elderly and "No, you don't have room for a couch in your room and you will NOT be cramming it in an already packed room in my house".
Ahhhh......the only whining I have to listen to for awhile is Chester whining because he can SEE the kittens through a window overlooking the enclosed porch but he can't get at them. (kittieskittieskitties, have to get to the kitties!!! Kittieskittieskitties..there are kitties!! getthemgetthemgetthem)
