RN - I wanted to also say how glad I am to hear your son is doing well - working and dating and buying a car and just being "typical". You and he have been through so much.

Seems he wants to do it when he wants to and does not want us to tell him what to do and when to do it.

That sounds normal to me. Did you want your parents telling you what to do and when to do it at his age? I don't think this is a bad thing, so long as he's going the right direction and it seems he is.
