If he is addicted physically, and you really don't know the answer to that...we never do...then rehab helps withdrawals and other medical issues. They work if the person is ready to quit. If not, no, they don't work. Often people go in and out of them. They can be more than many of us can afford. But I do think sometimes quitting without medical intervention is impossible and dangerous. All depends on what the patient uses and how much...things only your son really knows. It is usually worse than we think. They never tell us all of it. Anyone whp believes that a drug addict will tell the truth to his parents is not aware of how drug addicts behave...
