I was cleared last week by my cardiologist for surgery to biopsy a salivary gland. Yesterday, I called the ENT's office to schedule the surgery. They called back today. She can't schedule it because she needs to talk to the doctor about specifics (I guess they don't do these every day), and he's on vacation until next week. Why wasn't this discussed, or a note put in my file when I saw him and he told me I needed to have surgery??? I still have to have other pre-op work done and my GP doesn't want to schedule that until I have the surgery scheduled. I saw a new neuro yesterday and he wants me to have all of these tests: 1) sleep study which will involve 2 days; 1 at night and 1 during the day for a nap, 2) another neuropsychologist evaluation to compare to the previous one, and 3) more EMG testing. Plus, I have therapy for difficult child, difficult child 2 and myself and difficult child has speech therapy once a week. And I have physical therapy in there when I can fit it in. I'm overdue for a cleaning and I can't schedule that until I can schedule the other appointments because it's much harder to schedule with specialists and you often need to schedule your other stuff around when you can get in with the specialists. I have all of these things coming up, nothing scheduled and I'm just sitting here spinning my wheels. It really shouldn't be this complicated.
