difficult child called today....

[Hopeless]

to tell me she had just taken the placement testing at the local community college. She was very upbeat because she scored pretty high and won't be starting at the 101 classes. She is a very smart girl, just getting her to use that brain all the time is the issue.

She made an appointment for Friday to talk to the counselor at the college. She wants to get a degree as an Occupational Therapist Assistant. She has been going to occupational therapy twice a week since October working on her hand and arm. So, I know that is why she is currently interested in that field. But is something I think she would enjoy.

I am very proud of her for taking this first step toward getting a degree.

Even if she changes her mind about her current career choice, it's still a step in the right direction to go back to school.

You have every right to be proud. She is taking steps and that is huge and like Lisa said even if she changes her mind she has taken a step forward.
