Welcome to this forum. There are many here who will sympathize with you and have had similar experiences. We will need more of his and your story to be able to offer much advise. My son is 36 with bipolar disorder and drug use. Dealing with adult children with drug and mental illness is hard. I would tend to assume that the arch enemy is the drugs talking not your son. Is he violent? does he suffer from mental illness? how old is he? Also you posted under parent emeritus so I assume he is an adult but you might want to post under substance abuse. I'm sorry for your going through. Our son is Bipolar (don't think he's using drugs but he could be) and he wants nothing to do with us, unless we're sending money that is. We have loved him from the moment he was put in our arms and have been good (not perfect) parents.
