Ok....I completely understand where you are coming from. You also have access to a fairly large city. Any chance you could find a good, decent mentor for thank you that happens to share his belief system who would steer him into more reality based thinking. Since his parents know nothing maybe a younger and more hip person who believes these things would be listened to more.
