    BiPolar (BP), Abilify, TD, TrueHope

So psychiatrist looked at difficult child's tongue and thinks that the little movements he sees around the edges may be tardive dyskinesia from Ablfy. Anyone has seen anything of the sorts? When he's stressed, tired, manic he starts moving his tongue about checking out missing teeth etc. Says can't stop. And I...

    Seroquel and Abilify together?

difficult child just turned 11 last week, and had a pretty stable 18 months since his five months stint in residential in 2007-2008. By stable I mean no physical violence towards people and no auditory hallucinations. We've had the usual impulsive behavior, food gorging/hoarding, lots of lying, and unless...

    Abilify and angry outbursts???

Has anyone else had issues with Abilify and outbursts of anger/weepiness/frustration/intolerance? My son has taken 2mg of this medication for 6 mos. successfully and all of a sudden--his problematic symptoms are back! I am heartbroken and at a loss. Could it be hormones? (he is 10 and a half)...

It has been a while since I have been on because my difficult child was doing really well up until 3 weeks ago. Just got back from the dr. and he has changed his medications again. He has taken him off the imipramine he was on due to a side effect of not being able to breath thru his nose at night. He was...

    High Dose Abilify/Tenex

difficult child (14/15 in May) is on high dose Abilify 37 1/2 mg & Tenex 2 1/2 mg daily (at night). He seems to tolerate it fine with no side effects. Most difficult children or adults are not on this high dose. It makes me worry though; however, since no side effects, doctor. thinks it's not a problem. It is what...

My Abilify will be $30 in a couple of months!

I called my ins company to find out why I had to pay nearly $600 for Ablilfy last mo. (30 day supply) It was a terrible confluence of a name brand and a health savings plan where I had not yet the deductible. husband raised it to $6000. Gulp!:overreactsmiley: So, back to the age-old question, what...

Abilify and Antibiotics...anyone been this route?

Hi all, hope everyone had a nice Mother's Day! My difficult child has been on Abilify for 2 months and we've seen such a great turn around. We've slowly increased his dose to 5mg and we may need to increase again, but we're happy with-things for now...until Friday. Friday, pre-school called and said difficult child...

    can we try abilify again?

I've posted before about my son being on respidone, then serequel with bad reactions. I'm trying to find another dr. Most of the places that take our insurance or medicaid don't have any openings until may! Since he's taken abilify before without any bad reactions, will it hurt us to start...

Question for parents with- kids on Abilify

Could some of you please visit the Early Childhood board and address this question? The parent is understandably anxious as her 3 year old was hospitalized last week due to a possible medication reaction (Risperdal). http://www.conductdisorders.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17519&page=3 Thanks, SRL

Abilify? Anybody have experience with this one?

The doctor changed PCw/BiPolar (BP)'s medication's yesterday. We are now trying Abilify. The resperdal helped with the voices/depression/hallucinations, but her anxiety and paranoia were off the charts. Hopefully this one will be better. Plus daughter couldn't stop eating!

difficult child going to be weaning off Abilify, how hard is this?

Are we looking at major side effects? The psychiatrist is pitching a huge fit that difficult child would like to see if she can go off of some if not all of her medications. Tdocs are behind difficult child, and so are we. I am just wondering at the time frame we are looking at, and what if any side effects will we see? I just want...
