Update on Daughter Today

Hi All, My daughter apparently has been transferred to a Transition Community Center. She is still considered an inmate but will be receiving "assistance for substance abuse, mental health issues" and work furlough. Whatever "assistance" is possible in a corrections facility. I am relieved that she was not "just released" because in my opinion, she'd land right back there after another incident. I'll sleep a little better tonight. Thanks for listening to this little bit anxious Mom. LetGo

Good! I worked in correctional facilities over a 30 year period. At minimum she will be offered medication, if she needs it, regular follow up, case-management, and substance abuse treatment. She will have structure. She may even be able to go to school if she wants to. Maybe college classes. Who knows? And it sounds like she will be given work. This is all good, isn't it?

Copa, yes, this is all good! She absolutely needs medication...hopefully, she will agree to it. She had the need for medications figured out when she still lived near me. Treatment for substance abuse...yes! Help with getting housing, education...it is what she needs. If she cooperates. I believe she will for now! Thanks for your reply, Copa. Hugs
